Morning News Cafe

Morning News Cafe is the brainchild of Anthony Gadsen and Davide Drummond, two seasoned hospitality veterans who have owned and operated cafes, bars and restaurants in Melbourne and New York City. With their eyes set on making a move in Brisbane’s thriving scene, the duo sought to bring their style of hospitality north, finding the perfect space on Adelaide Street for Morning News Cafe. The core ethos of Morning News Cafe is to be a pleasant spot to visit on a regular basis, with delicious and consistent coffee and food, plus good reads available as well, the cafe is well suited for those looking for a place they can return to. Morning News Cafe serves up a selection of bites from classic avocado on toast and vegan friendly acai bowls for breakfast, to sandwiches and salads at lunch. Attention is paid to the produce used, which means you’ll find dishes using Maleny Dairies labneh, sweet-pork bacon from Bangalow, Spring Wholefoods gluten-free bread and more. Davide’s own Niccolo Coffee is on hand for those seeking a caffeine hit, boasting a house blend that features notes of chocolate, hazelnut, citrus and berries. Morning News Cafe also makes its own almond milk in house, featuring more than 20-percent activated almonds, considerably higher than industry average.
