Miss Sophia’s Gelateria

Miss Sophia’s Gelateria is an Italian-style creamery situated next door to southeast-Asian restaurant Oh Boy Bok Choy. The concept has been conceived as a salute to the Italian community and a further continuation of the fresh-food legacy left behind by Farmer Joe’s – the tenant of the building now home to Farmhouse Cafe. The gelateria’s serving freezer stocks 20 flavours at a time each day, ranging from salted caramel, pistachio and vanilla bean to ricotta and fresh figs, peach melba, and strawberry pavlova. Beyond gelato, Miss Sophia’s Gelateria will soon offer shakes and sundaes. All gelato is made on site using fresh produce and some gourmet products imported from Italy, as well as Norco milk from the Scenic Rim. Miss Sophia’s Gelateria is open late, which is great news to those who are often struck by dessert cravings long after the sun sets. Takeaway tubs are available, so you can sample multiple flavours from the comfort of your own home.
