After needing to vacate its Fortitude Valley location, Roman-inspired restaurant Eterna decided to relaunch under a new name – Mina Italian. The eatery snagged a primo spot on Oxford Street in Bulimba, joining Melrose, Darvella Patisserie and Bellissimo Coffee’s recently refurbished Bulimba cafe as part of the suburb’s buzzing dining strip towards the river. Mina Italian is a completely fresh concept that delivers the best elements of Eterna and Salt Meats Cheese in a new vibrant coastal Mediterranean-inspired setting. The restaurant boasts a 150-sqm interior and alfresco space, with a fun visual identity comprised of bright whites, light pastel yellow, marble, terrazzo and leather. Inside seats 40 patrons, plus a sizeable bar, while the team has partnered with its neighbour Darvella Patisserie to jointly share the festoon-lit outdoor space. As for the menu, Mina Italian’s offering is made up of the best Napoli-style woodfired pizzas from the Salt Meats Cheese menu as well as Eterna’s crowd-pleasing porchetta, steaks and pasta dishes. The beverage list features wine as well as an assortment of colourful cocktails.
