Brisbane City dining just got a little more exciting. Those clever cats from Bellezza Group (you can thank them for Bar Pacino, Chocolate Soldier and more) have opened dining hall and bar Metropole Bar Eatery in Daisho’s new 180 Brisbane building at 180 Ann Street. The space brings casual-style dining to an impressive open space, which features a mix of world cuisines from the East and West (everything from sushi and made-to-order banh mi to pasta and mouth-watering roast meats) as well as espresso bar Espresso Emporium upstairs, cocktail bar and covered laneway bar. If you’re imagining a food court, think again. Of course you can get your meal packaged up to take away, but you can also dine in from a real plate with real cutlery and grab a beer or wine to sip with your meal. Further down the street, the group is also busy working on burger and pizza bar Santa Monica, which is set to open in two months.
