Manly Boathouse

When it comes to waterfront locales, Manly Boathouse boasts a primo perch. This multifaceted restaurant is often filled to the brim with punters – and for good reason. They’re all looking to capitalise on the venue’s near-panoramic views of Moreton Bay from its position along the break wall near Manly’s sailboat-chocked marina. Manly Boathouse is divided into three distinct sections – the restaurant, the bar and the patio. The restaurant, helmed by head chef Braden White, is an alluring dining spot clothed in rattan, teak, and cane. Here a lunch and dinner menu features the likes of Moreton Bay bug sliders, yellowtail kingfish sashimi, barbecued Tasmanian scallops, rock lobster, steaks from the grill, slow-cooked lamb shoulder and burrata with vine-ripened tomatoes. Manly Boathouse’s bar offers 14 beers on tap, wines from an extensive list and a selection of delicious cocktails to enjoy with bar snacks like popcorn chicken, beef tartare and flash-fried squid. If you prefer some informal drop-in dining, the patio has what you’re looking for. A series of takeaway windows sling everything from brekkie bites, coffee and patisserie treats to gelato and fish and chips. Manly Boathouse also offers private dining options (including hireable marquees) for folks looking to host a seaside soiree.
