Brisbane’s craft-brewery scene is continuing to grow and we’re certainly not mad about it. There was once a time when Bulimba’s Oxford Street was home to its own micro-brewery and now Revel Brewing Co. is committed to bringing independent brewing back to the leafy street. Revel Brewing Co. crafts a selection of small-batch ales and ciders, with the ingredients all milled, brewed, fermented and served on site. Beers are served amongst the tanks, with a view to encourage curious drinkers to ask questions and learn about the brewing process as they get poured a frothy one. Wine is also on offer for those not so fond of beer, with bevs accompanied by a selection of woodfired pizzas. If you’re on the run, your beer can be taken away in ‘crowlers’ (a 950 ml hybrid of a large tin can and a growler), where beer will be poured fresh and sealed to order on the countertop with a belt-driven canning machine, dating back to the early 1900s.
