Maker is the most recent venue from Jerome Batten, sitting around the corner from its sibling venue Gauge on Fish Lane in South Brisbane. Much like Gauge and Jerome’s Teneriffe venue Sourced Grocer, Maker has a strong focus on seasonal local produce and showcases a variety of Australian beer, wine and spirits alongside high-end international selections. Behind the bar, Edward Quatermass has devised a creative yet restrained menu, illustrating his respect for the ingredients that Maker uses. Every single detail has been considered, from the carefully curated produce to the hand-chipped clear ice spheres that float inside impressive artisan glassware.
