Situated in a line of shops off McLachlan Street, Luxxbox is a store with a special interest in modern furniture design. The space was founded in 2006 by industrial designer Jason Bird and was intended to be a place where he could showcase his own collection of statement commercial and domestic products. The Fortitude Valley showroom hosts a strong collection of Jason’s creations, which vary in price, scale and shape, but all embrace a vibrant colour palette, as well as unusual forms. The furniture available at Luxxbox ranges from sleek chairs to futuristic lighting, all crafted from modern materials and mostly industrial finishes.
