Luigi’s Italian

Holloway Eyewear’s design studio on Hardgrave Road has long harboured Pizzartist, one of Brisbane’s most cherished Italian eateries. Looking to shake things up and fully realise the venue’s potential, Holloway’s Raffaele Perischetti has overhauled the menu and vibe to create Luigi’s Italian. Named after Raffaele’s paternal grandfather, Luigi’s Italian blends classic offerings with a neo-Italian twist – offering tastes familiar to Australian palettes while still remaining true to the old-school flair of traditional Italian eateries. Instead of Pizzartist’s constantly rotating menu, Luigi’s Italian boasts a fixed offering featuring family recipes and some new modifications. The kitchen sources the highest quality ingredients from local suppliers or from the family farm on the Sunshine Coast, while small goods are made on site, with as much as possible created from scratch. Assorted pasta dishes, salads, meatballs, desserts and weekly specials bolster an already impressive range of pizzas, while diners can sip on a selection of Italian and Greek wines, craft beer and cocktails.
