When Lord of the Fries officially announced that it would be opening its first ever Brisbane location in Fortitude Valley, the vegan community went wild. The Melbourne-born meat-free concept has cornered the market in vegan-friendly fast food, growing to boast more than 20 locations across Australia and four more across the Tasman. As Lord of the Fries stores proliferated across Australia’s southern states, Queenslanders waited patiently for their turn before scoring its first outlet in Surfers Paradise in 2017. Two years on and Brisbane’s plant-based community has finally been rewarded with a Lord of the Fries location of its own at 354 Brunswick Street – the spot once home to Brat Haus. Alongside Lord of the Fries staples including vegan burgers, hotdogs, mac’n’cheese balls, breakfast muffins and, of course, fries, the Brisbane store is the exclusive stockist of the limited-edition Stinger Spicy Chick’n Burger.
