Just try to stop your mouth watering over the idea of a cheddar and jalapeno waffle with creamed corn, fried chicken nuggets and maple drizzle. Oof! This food-porn dream can be your reality if you venture to Lonely Boy in Spring Hill. The small cafe is the latest project from Shady Palms owners Mal Gill and Bec Saul (formerly of Lady Marmalade and The Milk Factory), who are renowned for delivering good vibes and delicious eats. Lonely Boy serves up breakfast and lunch six days a week (including items such as Mal’s famous Knuckle Sandwich packed with pork knuckle, braised red cabbage and Waldorf salad), and offer delivery dinners come evening via Foodora and UberEATS. Also of note for certified coffee nuts, Lonely Boy is the only Brisbane stockist of Yatala’s new Open House Coffee Roasters.
