Little Glass Room Espresso Bar

Lovers of top-notch Thai cuisine are in for an absolute treat! The minds behind Mount Gravatt’s award-winning Modern Thai Restaurant opened a brand new cafe in 2019 called Little Glass Room Espresso Bar. Co-owned by Modern Thai’s owner John and the restaurant’s long-time manager Name, the cafe’s inspiration was born out of indecisions at breakfast time. As avid cafe hoppers themselves, the duo often found they could not agree on what sort of food to have for breakfast. To resolve this, they came up with Little Glass Room Espresso Bar – a combination of foods from the east and west, giving diners the option to have either (or both), at breakfast time. Along with an array of Thai meals, there will also be traditional breakfast options on offer too! Little Glass Room’s exciting menu includes standouts like the crab omelette with baby blue swimmer crab and toasted Turkish bread sticks, and the Forbidden Rice – a take on Thai sticky rice serving up steamed black rice, coconut creme and seasonal fruits. The drinks menu looks equally enticing, with coffee supplied by Seven Miles Coffee Roasters using their incredibly smooth Cat’s Pyjamas blend, and other traditional cold Thai drinks. As a branch of Modern Thai, John and Name wanted to maintain the venue’s high level of service in a more casual and easy going setting. The cafe combines elegant touches, like marble-topped tables, with casual elements, like a beautiful dog-friendly outdoor deck area.
