Lina Rooftop

The team behind Fortitude Valley’s Evita went great heights for its second collaborative venture, ascending several floors above ground to create rooftop bar and restaurant Lina. The brainchild of Icatha Hospitality’s Ross Ledingham and Salt Meat Cheese Group’s Stefano De Blasi sits atop the only commercial office tower in Australia equipped with an infinity rooftop pool, channelling Mediterranean beach club vibes across its 1500-sqm footprint. The 30-m pool infinity pool comes complete with cabanas and  daybeds, affording incredible views across the Brisbane River to the city skyline. These day beds can be rented all day, and come with access to towels, lockers, showers, hair dryers and straighteners – a nearby retail nook also sells swimmers for those that find the urge to dip into glinting waters too alluring to resist. Lina’s restaurant serves tasteful amalgam of Mediterranean and Japanese cuisines, including sashimi, kingfish crudo, Moreton Bay Bug raviolo, snapper meuniere, lobster thermidor, cold-smoked Black Onyx flank steak and snacks. Catalina’s drink menu is similarly stacked – think 14 signature cocktails (all light, fruity and long), spritzes on tap, loads of wine (including Dom Perignon by the glass and double magnums of Chateau D’Esclans Whispering Angel rosé), beers, bottle-service spirits and low- or no-alcohol options.
