Libertine


Libertine is a humming restaurant and bar nestled in The Barracks precinct on Petrie Terrace. Boasting speakeasy cocktail concoctions – best sipped leisurely – and a range of wines sourced from small boutique and organic producers, Libertine is an idyllic location for an evening soiree. Golden dragons weave together on wallpaper, red lampshades and magnificent chandeliers cast hushed mood lighting and booth seating provides an intimate dining setting. This mesmeric ambience makes it very easy to linger long past the last crumb. Sip on a cocktail and graze on dishes such as seared Japanese scallops with wasabi and vanilla may, spiced lamb rump with Lebanese eggplant puree and minted oil or truffle Mt Cotton free-range chicken stiry-fry. If you are keen for a late-night snack, Bar Jardin offers bar bites such as hot-smoked trout pate, roasted barbecue duck and spiced cherry crepes, Hanoi eight-spiced popcorn chicken from 9:00 pm which can be enjoyed in the overhauled outdoor area.
