In 2014, Lennons Restaurant & Bar opened at NEXT Hotel on Queen Street, transforming the under-utilised building into a swanky new hotspot for inner-city denizens. The eatery itself boasts a sleek, modern fit-out with a kitchen complete with a wood-fired oven and top of the line amenities. The food offering extends from breakfast through lunch and into dinner, with a menu created and honed by award-winning executive chef Todd Adams. Rise early for scrambled organic eggs, a free-range ham jaffle, wood-fired mushrooms or bircher muesli, or stop in throughout the day for a pizza, char-grilled lamb burger, BBQ spiced spatchcock, cheese kransky or rib eye steak. Dinner ups the ante once again with options such as roast Berkshire pork, milk-fed lamb rump and pressed rips, snapper, mussel & scallop pie and crudo of yellowtail king fish. The bar offers a huge range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to wash down the sumptuous fare.
