Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall

Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall – the creation of Jamie Webb (of Cabiria and Peasant fame) and business partner Jason Scott of Sydney’s Shady Pines Saloon – brings a slice of country music and American eats to the inner city. Taxidermy peacocks, moose, bear and deer looming over saloon-esque seating, vintage lamps and gold-rimmed mirrors can be found in the dimly lit bar, while a mezzanine level sports a mini ‘can bar’ upstairs. A retro popcorn machine stationed upon the lower bar provides free servings of the aerated kernel when drinks are ordered, while the food menu leans towards the style of American carny fare, served until 3:00 am. The array of beers stem from mostly Australian and American microbreweries, while more than 100 American rye whiskies will become the focus of the spirits shelf, along with a hefty selection of scotch, tequila and rum.
