Le Coin Bistro

Red Hill’s Le Coin Bistro is a multi-purpose bar and eatery and spiritual sibling to Auchenflower’s Haig Rd Bistro, offering French cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The venue is perched on the corner of Waterworks Road and Enoggera Terrace, boasting an alfresco dining space on the ground floor and a fine-dining area upstairs. Haid Rd Bistro’s head chef Yann Bouton has designed the menu, which draws inspiration from France’s southern regions as well as Paris, Bordeaux and Alsace. Le Coin’s breakfast menu includes the likes of gooey croque monsieurs, eggs Benedict served on a freshly baked croissant, brioche French toast with whipped mascarpone and seasonal berries, and four kinds of omelette, while lunch features share-style morsels such as escargot, steak tartare, house-made terrines, black mussels and six kinds of tarte flambée. Le Coin’s dinner service takes shape as either a two- or three-course set menu, with many dishes carried over from Haig Rd Bistro. Heart-warming mains such as oven-roasted duck with braised red cabbage, poisson en papillote (fish oven baked in a paper bag with potatoes and vegetables) and côte de boeuf are buoyed by a wine list featuring French champagnes and vino from home and abroad.
