Lazy Monk’s Cafe

Where The Corso and D’Arcy Street meet sits an establishment that it unique in its approach to weekend brunching. Lazy Monk’s Cafe is a quaint cafe that exists as part of Thai restaurant, Golden Buddha. While Golden Buddha is open most evenings, Lazy Monk’s Cafe only opens on weekends and public holidays, making it a highly popular weekend breakfast destination. With indoor and outdoor seating and colourful decorative touches such as hanging planters and Buddha statues, Lazy Monk’s Cafe boats a relaxed atmosphere in which to brunch. The kitchen whips up Aussie-style breakfasts such as big breakfast boards, eggs benedict, smashed avocado and omelettes, plus the odd special including French toast and Canadian pancakes. For the coffee fanatics, Lazy Monk’s Cafe serves Abrisca but for those after something caffeine-free there are plenty of fresh juices packed to the brim with fruit. The cafe is pet friendly, so bring along your pooch next time you visit.
