Lait Noir
Brisbane City’s coffee scene is set to grow this month with the forthcoming arrival of Lait Noir, a Parisian-inspired cafe opening at 144 Edward Street by mid-March. Boasting a luxe aesthetic conceived by workplace design and fit-out experts Outkast, Lait Noir’s white marble benchtops will support a Slayer coffee machine pumping out Toby’s Estate brew as well as Queensland’s first Unox Speed-X oven, which will dispense spinach, fennel and fetta quiches and beef bourguignon pies. “We will launch Brisbane’s first Parisian-style dining with guests able to watch the hustle and bustle go by from their seat,” says Lait Noir’s operations manager Charlotte Bourguignon. “We pride ourselves on quality and service, with all of our pastries and desserts made with true French ingredients from some of the best French suppliers in Brisbane.” In addition to the hot savouries, those swinging by Lait Noir for a nibble will also be able to grab French croissants and raspberry almond coconut tarts.
