Koffy Trike Cafe
Inner city coffee lovers should be very familiar with the Koffy Trike. Once upon a time this authentic Dutch cargo trike pedalled around Brisbane delivering fresh cups of specialty brew – as welcome as Santa on Christmas eve. In early 2017, the team behind the pedals decided to give their calves a much-needed rest and open up a brick-and-mortar location where they could take customers on a flavour journey without having to work up a sweat. The coffee joint is situated at the Toombul Shopping Centre across from Bunnings, boasting a fit-out that harkens back to the cafe’s three-wheeled past. Koffy Trike Cafe serves up two single origins every day, roasted by the team from beans sourced from Origin Traders in Sydney. Patrons can watch the expert baristas at work whipping up cups of Joe on the impressive Italian lever press, while also perusing available treats from Petit Crumb and Nutri Hitt or pies and pastries from Piefection. Koffy trike also boasts a menu of morsels that includes the likes of acai bowls, open sandwich melts, cheese toasties and more. If you’ve had your fill of coffee recently, don’t fret – Koffy Trike Cafe also brews T2 tea, hot chocolate and seven Sri Lankan spiced chai from Grounded Pleasures.
