Tony Kelly and Scott Hoskins, the masterminds behind Hello Harry and Donut Boyz, brought their Maroochydore eatery Junk to South Bank in early 2017. The acclaimed Asian street-food boasts a very similar offering to its Sunshine Coast sibling (which opened in 2014), with the likes of crispy Peking duck spring rolls, soft-shell crab bao and Korean fried chicken wings featuring on the menu. The venue also features an eclectic aesthetic, with steam baskets a prominent feature throughout. Patrons can sit in close proximity to the kitchen to see the chefs at work, or take advantage of street-side seating outside. The bar will be keeping libations flowing, serving beer towers, Bintang tinnies, Tiger off tap, Monteith’s cider, a rotating selection of cocktails plus spiked bubble tea or wine.
