Kangaroo Point’s iconic clifftop cafe underwent a significant makeover in 2020, transforming into chic restaurant and bar Joey’s. Joey’s offers a relaxing vibe within a fresh, Queensland-meets-coast setting, boasting covered and al fresco dining. The restaurant and bar is open seven days a week, serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside an impressive wine list curated by renowned award-winning sommelier Ian Trinkle. Must-try bites include dippy eggs with a sprinkling of bacon crumbs, heirloom-tomato frittatas with whipped fetta and sweetcorn fritters with tomato relish and bacon for breakfast, and kingfish tacos, prawn sandwiches, crispy woodfired pizzas, blue swimmer crab linguine for lunch and dinner. The site’s new fit-out has been specifically designed to take advantage of Joey’s enviable position atop the cliffs, ensuring every seat can experience the breathtaking 180-degree views of Brisbane City and the Brisbane River.
