When Electric Avenue opened in Woolloongabba in the first half of 2017, it came with the promise that there were a few secrets that patrons were encouraged to uncover. The largest of the building’s secrets comes in the form of Jack Rabbits – a hidden whisky bar that sits on the upper level of Electric Avenue’s building. Up the stairs and around the bend is a wardrobe that acts as the entrance to the eclectically decorated bar, which boasts comfortable vintage furniture, mood lighting and plenty of intriguing antique memorabilia along the walls. The primary focus of Jack Rabbits is cocktails and whisky, with a huge (like, seriously impressive) range of quality drops filling the back bar. The cocktail offering here is served in vintage teacups, with a range of classic concoctions and a few distinct twists featuring alongside a choice selection of vino and Mountain Goat steam ale on tap.
