Il Verde comes from the collective minds of Simon Barakat, Dom Barakat and Ibrahim ‘Bob’ Haddad, who are certainly no strangers to the Brisbane restaurant scene. Positioned in a sunny corner spot, the Italian restaurant adds to the Brisbane Showgrounds’ ever-growing King Street dining precinct in Bowen Hills, serving up pasta, wood-fired pizzas and a selection of delectable antipasti and mains. The pasta and pizza dough are made in house, and Il Verde’s green name is a nod to chef Bob’s commitment to using seasonal sustainably sourced produce when creating each dish. We recommend kicking off your meal with a cheeky aperitivo (Campari spritz anyone?) before your Italian feast.
