Hula Bar and Grill
Even a short holiday to the beautiful islands of Hawaii is enough to have a long-lasting effect on someone, but for Kim Weller and Nigel Kilvington, a trip to the isles proved to be particularly magical. Inspired by the lifestyle and hospitality of the renowned holiday destination, the duo decided to bring a little bit of Hawaiian magic back to Brisbane, converting longstanding bar Toro Bravo into Hula Bar and Grill. The menu at Hula Bar and Grill offers a host of Hawaiian eats, ranging from the likes of crab cakes, baja fish tacos and salt and pepper calamari to Huli-Huli chicken, garlic cream shrimp, coconut-crusted fish and tuna steak. The bar, which has been revitalised with a fun Tiki aesthetic, offers a playful array of tasty and colourful cocktails. The back bar stocks a range of rums, including the famed Pere Labat rum from the Caribbean island of Saint Marie. In addition to cocktails, patrons can also sip on beer and wine, with DJs on hand on Saturday to kick-start the party.
