With hotels across Europe, North America and Asia, it was only a matter of time before Hotel Indigo landed in the sunny state of Queensland. The Turbot Street boutique accommodation spot is made up of 212 unique guest rooms, which pay homage to Brisbane’s identity through a mix of colourful artworks, and feature a range of modern appliances and amenities. Guests won’t go hungry, either, as the hotel houses a handful of dining hubs where you can fill your belly. In the morning, guests can visit the Tuk Nook coffee cart, which serves up crackin’ caffeinated beverages and a selection of danishes, muffins and sandwiches. The culinary offering is taken to the next level at signature restaurant Izakaya Publico, which offers an authentic Japanese dining experience using locally sourced produce. As the first restaurant in Australia with a Warayaki Grill, diners can tuck into flavoursome grilled fare like bonito tataki and kushiyaki skewers alongside other Japanese-inspired dishes. Thirsty folk will be able to wet their whistle at 1603, a contemporary speakeasy-inspired bar that offers up cocktails with a sake twist alongside local beer and wine.
