Ham On Rye is a new sandwich del from the brains behind Paddington locales Remy’s, Hai Hai Ramen and King Tea. Located at Paddington Central Shopping Centre, the deli looks to deliver classic sandwiches prepared with restaurant-quality ingredients and techniques. The core selection includes a Reuben, a Cubano, a spicy-beef and cheese option, cured meat and a quintessential deli-style salad sambo, though the team is already fleshing out a substantial list of rotating specials. The team at Bakeologists in New Farm has created a custom loaf for Ham On Rye that is wider and taller, allowing the deli crew to make sandwiches that can serve as breakfast and lunch. In addition to the sandwiches, guests can expect fresh juices and filter coffee from Coffee Supreme. As for the space, a familiar deli aesthetic will be enhanced by a bold blue and yellow colour scheme and some sandwich-inspired pop art.
