Gramps Cafe

Nestled in the heart of leafy Red Hill is a charming suburban coffee spot and eatery that specialises in comfortable atmosphere and wholesome food. This sunny spot has been fashioned out of a charming freestanding structure (formerly home to a butcher, day spa and a cafe) and is fittingly reminiscent of your grandparent’s living room – eclectically decorated and seriously comfortable. While specialty coffee and tea are a focus – both single origin from Single O and The Steepery Tea Co. respectively – Gramps also serves up a menu of interesting-yet-comforting bites for breakfast and lunch. Owner Adam Murphy (ex-Wandering CooksNaïm) has dubbed the menu as ‘simplistic complexity’ and almost everything, right down to the almond milk, pickled bites and cabinet cakes are made in house. Popular dishes such as the Grampy Eggs feature butterbean hummus, nut crumble, spiced pumpkin and pickled fennel, while the old-time omelette is loaded with dill, labneh, and capsicum chilli jam. Gramps Cafe is dog friendly, and patrons can also take advantage of free WiFi.
