Goodtime – Opening Soon

Aussie beers, authentic Asian street food, fond memories and new experiences will be celebrated at Goodtime, a forthcoming restaurant set to open at West Village this December. Goodtime is the latest venue from familiar faces Andrew Yu and Beverley Teo, the owners and operators behind glamorous inner-city yum cha restaurant Longtime Dining at Queens Plaza. Drawing inspiration from laid-back suburban soirees (you know the ones – cold beers enjoyed over serves of takeaway from the local Chinese restaurant), Goodtime is all about recreating an essence of leisurely simplicity through good food, great drinks and friendly service. The 100-seater venue is currently taking shape in the space previously home to Beirut Bazaar on the fringe of West Village’s The Common (just next to Cheeky Poke Bar), and will boast a casual alfresco patio area out front, which leads into a chic interior outfitted with banquettes, bar seating and plenty of tables for intimate pairings and small groups. Goodtime’s menu of aromatic pan-Asian eats will include yum cha bites and Instagram-worthy serves of Flying Noodles, while the bar will be dispensing ice-cold craft beers from a number of Queensland breweries. Goodtime is targeting a mid-December opening date – stay tuned for an up-close look inside next month.
