GOMA Bistro | Pop-Up Providore
Following a morning spent ogling the artworks of the Cultural Precinct’s galleries, art gazers can pull up a seat by the river and soak in the breezes at GOMA Bistro. With a fine drop of wine in hand, you can deliberate over the contemporary locale’s extensive menu – which presents a lunch selection of colourful salads, hearty sandwiches and share plates, plus brunch on the weekend. A kids menu offers a choice of mini meals to younger diners, while the rotating desserts menu takes inspiration from the gallery’s current displays – tea-infused sweets for the Cai Guo-Qiang exhibition, for example. All purchases made at the eatery go towards supporting QAGOMA .
UPDATE: For the foreseeable future, GOMA Bistro has transformed into Pop-Up Providore, open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm each day. The providore’s menu changes daily, with a rotating selection of grab-and-go salads, sandwiches and sides, as well as fresh-baked bread, pies and pastries, ready-made take-home meals, coffees and cold drinks. With any takeaway meal purchase you also have access to the Bistro Bottle Shop, which boasts a list of predominantly Australian wines, local and imported beers, and bulk cold juices and kombucha.
