The creation of Brent Poulter of That BBQ Joint, Getta Burger plates up buns of intimidating proportions, teeming with layers of smoky slow-cooked meats, streaky bacon, gooey cheese and an assortment of homemade sauces. The staple burger of the menu features a calming medley of beef patty, lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, pickle, That Tomato Relish and mayo, while one of the mightier selections, the Getta Boss, sees 12-hour smoked beef brisket complemented by the sharpness of pickles and the heat of jalapeños, while gooey double cheese, crunchy bacon and tangy That BBQ Sauce add to the textural interplay. Brent takes pride in grinding and slowly wood-smoking the meats in house at low temperatures to create the distinctively Southern flavours. For Getta Burger and That BBQ Joint, the maple streaky bacon is cured and smoked on site, the fries are seasoned with Brent’s own smoked salt dust and That BBQ Joint’s housemade barbecue sauce and tomato relish are slathered on top of these monstrous American eats. The Carina den also operates ad That Coffee Joint during the day.
