Tucked in a little nook behind Gerard’s Bistro, through the laneway and across the carpark, Gerard’s Bar comes to you from the team behind Newstead’s Hatch & Co., Fortitude Valley’s Laruche and West End’s Lychee Lounge. Boasting artisan meats and a killer collection of liquor, the bar and charcuterie is perfect for an aperitif and nibble as the sun goes down. Capturing the vibe of a tapas bar tucked away in the back streets of Barcelona, cuts of artisan meat dangle in the front window as the staff chat away about the origins of the ingredients. Jars full of pickles and ferments add a punch of colour to the ambient space, as the main bar invites guests to watch the chefs and bar staff as they work their magic. Fill the belly with a selection of salume, cheese, preservas, or savoury and sweet snacks, and kick back with an international wine or beer, or a signature aperitif.
