Just as doctor Frankenstein worked tirelessly to create his beloved monster, the brains behind Fritzenberger worked hard to create the perfect place to celebrate the deliciousness that is – if you haven’t already realised – the combination of frites (chips) and burgers. Now before you write this off as just another burger joint, hear us out. Fritzenberger comes from Steve Minon and Matthew Bailey, the clever guys behind Harajuku Gyoza and Nitrogenie, who certainly know how to create a cracking venue. The team has created a simple menu of burgers, creative sides and desserts, with each dish celebrating fresh produce sourced – in the most part – from within a 100-km radius. On the burger front, Fritzenberger offers six options, which you can pair with fries (spiced up with your choice of Fritzensalt), loaded fries or sides such as slow-cooked pork-belly bites. Fritzenberger also has its own on-site microbrewery, pumping out everything from classic-style lagers to the more experimental coffee IPA, plus you’ll find an impressive selection of local and international bottled and tap beers, wines and more.
