The sweet fragrance of hyacinths floats in the air, luring passersby in to peruse the colourful blooms that spill over Flora Organika’s front table. Stepping inside, the abundant flora isn’t the only enticing scent, as the smell of freshly ground coffee invites you to linger a little longer. Sisters Grace and Bozena have created a warm and welcoming space, where mismatched tables and chairs coexist in harmony amongst hanging kokedama, apothecary-jar candles, delicate vases and traditional Polish amber jewellery. On the counter you’ll find the day’s fresh baked sweet treats, as well as healthy organic and raw cakes, a naughty cake option, sandwiches and frittatas in the cabinet. As an homage to their heritage, Grace and Bozena will soon be adding Polish delicacies to the menu and expanding on the current selection. If you care for a sip, Flora Organika serves up organic fair-trade Botanica coffee and organic teas, which you can take out to the adjoining courtyard to bask in the morning sun.
