Burnett Lane institution The Survey Co closes its doors
Following on from the high-profile closures of NKB Group venues Nativo Kitchen & Bar and Burnt Ends Kitchen & Bar, Brisbane City restaurant The Survey Co has ceased operations. The inner-city venue will reportedly remain closed while liquidators commence the search for a new owner.
A report by The Courier-Mail has unveiled that The Survey Co has halted service in the wake of a severe decrease in lunch trade within Brisbane City. The story detailed that liquidator Ginette Muller has commenced the search for a buyer to take over the space, with the venue reportedly in perfect condition to facilitate an easy transition.
Situated along Burnett Lane, The Survey Co had been in operation since March 2012, and was one of the first venues to establish the laneway as a dining destination. Despite numerous accolades including a hat in the 2018 Good Food Guide, recent months had reportedly seen daytime trade diminish to the point where continued operation was unsustainable.
