Sunday Social releases DOWNTIME home range

Long-time Winn Lane resident Sunday Social has expanded its colourful fashion offerings with a homewares range dubbed DOWNTIME.

Shop mistress Jess Barty has reinvigorated her love of pottery to craft a collection of ceramic mugs, planters and vessels, some featuring candles within the hand-turned walls. Glazed white vessels come dotted with cheeky eyes, hand-drawn chequers, squiggles and dashes, while raw creations glitter with gold as earthy tones are splayed across the wonderfully wonky handmade shapes. When the wax has all been used up, the candle-nestling pots can be reused to cradle your morning coffee or a foraged succulent.

Jess also engaged local illustrator and photographer Emily Nelson and ex-Brisbane, Tasmania-based jewellery maker and artist Holly Leonardson to round out the homewares range. Emily has hand-painted pillowcases and tea towels with her trademark whimsical characters, while cushions come adorned with playful pompoms. Holly has made a range of weavings especially for the collection, featuring a combination of wool/acrylic yarn, plastic and polyester cord and her own handmade yarn. These sprightly wall hangings are speckled with hand-cut and engraved acrylic charms. Pop by Sunday Social to caress DOWNTIME first hand.
