Damask Perfumery is a bunker of scents located amidst the industrial maze of outer Woolloongabba. Created by current owner Jonathon Midgley in 1978, the enclave is one that prides itself on its extensive collection of perfumes and essential oils, which are used to construct bespoke scents for individuals and businesses. The laboratory is rather like a library for glass bottles – thousands of stoppered containers in every shape and size sit on rows of shelves. These bottles hold scents from the fruity and floral of apricot and rose, to the rather more unique smells of grass and roast beef. Prospective clients are invited to make appointments and personally visit the store to consult with Jonathon about your favourite smells and fragrance requirements.
