Few arrivals caused as immediate a stir amongst Brisbane shoppers than Daiso did when it broke into the Australian market several years ago. The Japanese-born discount chain known for delivering unbeatable bargains brought a mind-boggling array of products to our town, giving us a place to put our loose change to good use. Daiso’s store off Adelaide Street (on the lower-ground floor beneath H&M) features a comprehensive range of more than 15,000 lines of goods, comprising beauty products, cleaning materials, stationery, novelty gifts and even intriguing Japanese snack food. Roughy 95-percent of all products on the shelves cost $2.80, which is incredible value no matter what you’re in the market for.
