Coffee at Wandering Cooks


As an incubator for some of Brisbane’s most creative food start-ups, South Brisbane’s Wandering Cooks has long been a hub for deliciousness. Seeing a another avenue for local makers to showcase their talents, Angela Hirst and her team have converted a coffee cart into a standalone caffeine dispensary, positioned conveniently on Cordelia Street to entice foot traffic with the promise of great coffee, good food and a peaceful atmosphere. Coffee at Wandering Cooks has selected Sunday’s Coffee and The Steepery for its respective coffee and tea offering, paired with a small range of probiotic beverages from Myk’s F.F.F kefir and organic sodas from StrangeLove. There is no disposable coffee cups to be found here – patrons are encouraged to bring their own keep cups or utilise one of the ‘ugly mugs’ on hand for their morning cuppa. When it comes to the food, Coffee at Wandering Cooks is enlisting its talented roster of makers to help put together a collection of nibbles during the week and more substantial fare on weekends. The weekday fare includes brekkie bars, sesame cheese pots, chia pots with fresh fruit and Naked Crackers. On the weekends, Indie Treats and Alphabet Cafe plate up exquisite breakfast dishes, with the menu changing every two weeks.
