Commuters travelling to and from Banyo were blessed with a pit-stop watering hole when Clapham Junction Wine Bar Provisions opened up towards the end of 2017. Owned and operated by Simon McCarthy and Dominique Rizzo, Clapham Junction is a classically charming bar that offers a worldly selection of wines, craft beers and boutique spirits, as well as a epicurean delights to nibble on. Patrons can sip on the likes of vermentinos, tempranillos and boutique Australian gins while you snack on ‘nduja dagwood dogs, lemon pepper calamari, slow-cooked lamb shoulder and charcuterie and cheese boards, while relaxing inside or out. Head chef Sam Richards utilises produce grown in the back garden in his menu, which is constantly shifting to showcase more experimental flavours. Clapham Junction also opens during the day on Monday and Tuesday, serving an Italian-style breakfast for the early risers.
