Auchenflower’s Cheveux Design and Espresso combines coffee house with hair salon. Sisters Nadine and Carla Thurgate were inspired to create a hub where locals could come together for a coffee and a chat, while also having their tresses groomed. The cafe’s large open window catches the eyes of passersby and reveals an airy space full of recycled timber touches, glass jars of handmade sweets and accessories for sale. A row of colourful deck chairs out the front offers the perfect place to sit with an Allpress coffee in hand, while overlooking Auchenflower’s charming neighbourhood vista.
