Located on Musgrave Road in Red Hill, the venue is filled with cats and customers Tuesday through to Sunday, creating a warm and welcoming space where local rescue cats can be treated to some much-needed affection. After operating the non-profit Pussies Galore Rescue for 20 years, Brisbane resident Katina Balson launched a crowd-funding campaign to get the city’s first cat cafe off the ground. Katina has teamed up with the Animal Rescue Support Network to offer rescue cats a safe temporary home, but the ultimate goal is to find them new permanent homes, with guests being able to adopt their new feline friends. But even if you’re not in the position to adopt, your support at the cafe will help maintain the facilities and fund rescue work across Brisbane. Grab a takeaway cup of Prestige Organic Coffee and a cruelty-free savoury snack or sweet treat before you head in to your playdate. Entry is $10 per hour and bookings are essential. Please note guests must be a minimum of seven years old, but custom sessions can be arranged.
