Joining its Tennyson and Emporium siblings, Buzz has opened its doors in Newstead’s Gasworks precinct. Fresh contemporary decor fills the airy bistro, as does the scent of woodfired pizza and the happy hum of satisfied diners. An extensive bar lines the back wall, while plant pots, woven baskets and a large vintage print adorn the vibrant eatery. Those seated inside can watch the flames crackle in the restaurant’s oven, and those on the footpath can catch glimpses of the iconic Gasometer Frame nearby. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner – and for coffee and pizza of an afternoon – Buzz is also a breezy meeting point to catch up with your dearest over a plate of dessert accompanied by a wine or two.
