Established in 1936, Brisbane Arts Theatre on Petrie Terrace is one of the longest running theatre companies in Brisbane. A motley crew of buildings constitute the theatre, each housing a different role that ranges from dressing rooms to the seating and performance area. Brisbane Arts Theatre is a hive of creativity and self-expression, where audiences are engaged through two complementary seasons yearly and performances aren’t limited to the adult members of the community, with the iconic children’s theatre running during school holidays. Also contributing to performing arts in Brisbane is The College of Theatre Practice, which offers training and guidance to those with a passion for theatre.
