Newstead’s Gasworks precinct continues to flourish, with a wave of openings bringing the likes of Ping Pong, Smokey Moo and Meet + Greens to the precinct in 2020. Joining these ranks is Botany – a new bar and eatery from Muragh Operations, a hospitality group that also operates The Jetty in South Bank. This full-service restaurant and bar takes a classic approach to dining, dishing up the likes of sourdough eye fillets, cauliflower bites and strawberry tiramisu, as well as a sizeable cocktail list that boasts a distinct focus on gin. The Muragh Operations team describe the venue as one perfect for lazy long lunches and after-dinner drinks, while brunch hunters can pop in for breakfast and coffee on weekends.
