Long-running Bald Hills institution the Bonny View Tavern scored a top-notch makeover in 2020, relaunching in August as Bonny View Hotel. The refurbishment has implemented a modern-yet-relaxed aesthetic across the venue’s interior and exterior, sprucing up the main dining area, outdoor bistro, public bar and deck space. The menu received an overhaul as well, with pub classics like schnitties, parmies, steak sandwiches, burgers and beer-battered fish and chips now sharing menu space with wagyu brisket croquettes, pulled jackfruit tacos, baked half-shell scallops, buttermilk wings lathered in spiced Bundy Rum barbecue sauce, pulled-pork nachos and the signature Chicken Parmi Hot Dog. As for the drinks, Bonny View’s bar is still amply stocked with a considered selection of beers and wines, with a refreshed cocktail list (which now includes cocktail jugs) added to the mix.
