When you’ve racked up numerous accolades and boast a sizeable fanbase, you know it’s time to go big. That’s just what award-winning roaster Bellissimo Coffee did when it opened its roastery and cafe headquarters in Coorparoo in 2021. The multifaceted hub boasts everything you could need to build for the future, including a a scaled-up roasting hub (boasting 75- and 90-kg roasters capable of producing roughly four tonnes a week), a temperature-controlled room where green and roasted beans are stored, a technical department for machinery repairs, and a packaging and distribution zone. There’s also a sizeable kitchen on site that’s tasked with the production of baked goods and breads for all Bellissimo locations and a collection of partner cafes. The cafe caters to latter lovers and specialty seekers alike – Bellissimo’s Italian and Ultimo blends are on deck alongside a feature single origin. Unlike its sibling haunts, Bellissimo Coorparoo has much more room to experiment with alternative brewing methods, offering batch, cold-brew and pour-over sips (the latter done table-side) alongside expertly frothed espresso-based coffees. Bellissimo’s cafe serves a bunch of dynamo brunch dishes, freshly baked pastries and a collection of toasties, ensuring even those that don’t go gaga for coffee will have something to enjoy.
