Just a short stroll from the historic Bulimba ferry terminal, the team at Bellissimo Coffee is slinging coffee, brunch, dinner and cocktails daily. Formerly the coffee crew’s head office, roastery and shop, Bellissimo Bulimba scored a makeover in 2021 following the relocation of its production operations to its Coorparoo nerve centre. Now the hub boasts a sheltered exterior dining space, coffee counter, baked-goods cabinet, bar, kitchen and interior eating area, with Alkot Studio softening the building’s industrial shell with earthy materials and elegant fixtures. The kitchen is being put to use to create a stellar all-day offering, featuring French toast croissants, brekkie buns, onion bhajis, cheeseburgers and a selection of gourmet toasties. A selection of baked goods (including rye, seeded and white sourdough loaves, flaky almond croissants and pasteis de nata) made daily by Bellissimo’s baker Daniel Smyth are also available. Coffee is still a core fixture of its beverage program, with espresso, batch and cold-drip brews available alongside house iced drinks and boozy beverages like craft beer, Aperol spritzes, bloody Marys and more. In 2022 Bellissimo Bulimba will add a nighttime service, expanding its menu to include dinner dishes for the evening crowd to enjoy.
