Rigela and Spica Delorino are sisters that have dreamed of opening a cafe for years. Their first foray into the hospitality business is Bell Jar Cafe, located at the base of a new development on Thorn Street in Kangaroo Point. The 50 to 70-seat venue boasts an immaculate fit-out with a spacious flow throughout the cafe and impressive decorative touches with the light fixtures and tiles. The Delorino sisters have chosen a breakfast and lunch menu with classic favourites, preferring to serve simple food done well – without trying to reinvent the wheel. Bell Jar Cafe has selected Allpress Coffee as its brew of choice, juices from Buchi Kombucha, bread from Crust & Co. and select produce from Food Connect. The coming weeks will see an extension of opening hours and a new dinner service, be sure to check back soon.
