The Beenleigh Artisan Distillery underwent a $5 million facelift in 2016 and emerged as a great spot to pay a visit. Beenleigh Rum has been popping up in Brisbane bars with greater frequency, becoming one of the more popular local spirits in the region. The distillery itself is a great hub of local culture, with distillery tours every Wednesday through to Sunday. Sign up for a distillery tour and glean some insight into the complex small-batch copper distillery process, walk amongst century-old barrels and inhale the ‘angel’s share’ – the spirit that evaporates during ageing.
